Subject: OWS Help with Leronlimab Supply
Dear Dr. Woodcock,
I know your time is extremely valuable in these pandemic times but I would ask for a minute of that time.
I am sure you have heard of Leronlimab, a monoclonal antibody made by Cytodyn Inc. What you may not be aware of is that data is now available for the asking on its efficacy and safety from a Phase 3 DSMC Interim Review.
Because of the special mandate of OWS to find and accelerate delivery of effective treatments for SARS2, I truly feel that if your eyes were to fall on this Interim Data that you would see that Leronlimab is perhaps the best therapeutic you are likely to find!
Although tested outside of the framework of the ACTIV program, the data, generated with the rigors of the normal FDA standard, don't lie.
I am totally confident of Leronlimab's eventual approval for treatment of SARS2. I feel that it will be a blockbuster in that regard. So that is not what I want to bring to your attention.
What concerns me is that Cytodyn is a very small company and its supply capabilities are very limited. I watched your interview with Meg Terrill on CNBC and heard you confirm that it was very hard to approve a drug if supply of the drug is lacking.
Therefore, I am asking you, in your present capacity at OWS, to help accelerate the manufacture and supply of Leronlimab, the therapeutic that could take the spectre of dying from SARS2 off the table.
Please request the Phase 3 Interim Data from Cytodyn and look at it as soon as possible. Leronlimab, I believe, is totally worthy of your attention and won't let us down.
