Well said fsoalex. Our loyalty to a person or a idea taken to extreme, can be destructive. We must at times, ponder, study, seek counsel, and be willing to adapt. Nader may be so emotionally involved, and mentally exhausted, that after just 3 or 4 hours of sleep, he stubbornly continues to insist on staying the course. But, maybe not, maybe he is or will come around to consider unblinding the s/c Interim data. IMO, he should not yet, but go for m/m approvals first, which is what he clearly is doing in the Philippines, and IMO, probably also in Canada, the UK and other European nations.
This makes sense, in Phase II m/m, we had "Clinical Significance" in our difficult to achieve Primary Endpoint, and we achieved "Statistical Significance" in our critical, possibly more relevant Secondary Endpoint, NEWS2.
Approval in m/m in actually a bigger need, a bigger market, and prevents folks from advancing to the more dangerous s/c where they can further advance to death, or oh gosh, at the s/c stage, they may be given remdesivir and if the do live, may live with organ damage or the heart disorder AFIB.
