It is profoundly disappointing to see the approval of Remdesivir. So much for evidence based medicine.
IMO, it is important to remember that the market place can be filled with other therapeutics, but the one that works will eventually be used. Patients are ignorant but not stupid. Once the unequivocal evidence of the utility of leronlimab is Covid is know, it will be the go-to therapeutic.
First does not mean best. Ask Nokia about Apple or Netscape about Google.
I believe without any doubt that leronlimab is the solution for severe and critical covid. Additional EUAs can be granted for other therapeutics and we will be more irritated at the pretenders, but leronlimab can be delayed only for so long. There will not be a denial.
The FDA has lost its way, but that does not mean that the rest of the world will follow.
