Perhaps the FIRST TIME I’ve disagreed with the brain thrust of CYDY..in the 5 yrs I’ve been here..!!!
Taking a 0.005 penalty is small potatoes compared to what we could’ve gotten out of unblinding..!!!
DSMC recommendation to continue without changing Endpoints or Number of Subjects IS HUGE..!!!
Benefits to us by UNBLINDING..!!!!
1. In the aftermath of the debacle suffered by Remdesivir in the Solidarity Trial..LERONLIMAB COULD SHOW POSITIVE SURVIVAL DATA to investigators and patients alike.. TO FILL OUR TRIALS..We CANNOT compete on the money front..PERIOD..!!! Unblinding does not mean WE STOP THE TRIAL..!!!
2. Data could be presented to U.K...EU.. Phillipines..Nations more interested in saving their citizens and Economy..Than filling the coffers of Big Pharma and the FDA.. !!!
3. Even a 20% Reduction in death ..WOULD HAVE HAD POLITICIANS SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER From a Bully pulpit..!!! The FDA Would have been FORCED TO GIVE US an EUA..!!! With NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE BREAK DOWN OF THE 45 deaths..Deafening Silence..!!!!!
4. BBB..Just the mention of the same.. Makes me see Red..For GOD’s sake..Focus on Covid and HIV..FORGET GvH..Cancer..NASH..CVA..MS..!!! PLEASE..!!!!
5. I take back my stance on Long Haulers..This is a definitive group of ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE individuals..I’m having NO LUCK WITH ANY SPECIALTY..NOTHING WORKS..!!! Clinical Trials..if we can afford them..Should be started..!!!
That said..I’ll stay Long..Not sell a single share till above 30.. And take my lumps along with other long suffering LONGS..!!!
