is pleased to announce that the Company has received initial In-Vitro study results from its collaboration with Syracuse University showing that Pritumumab ("PTB" successfully blocked viral entry into cells. Based on these results, PTB and will be advanced to laboratory-based animal studies.
Alison Patteson, an assistant professor of physics, is leading a team researching the connections between the COVID-19 virus and pritumumab, a naturally occurring antibody, which has been used to inhibit cancer and tumor growth. Patteson tested whether the antibody blocks SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19, from entering cells.
