Totally agree except for one thing....and I know its a long shot but what if NP wants to have the complete element of surprise for once....(once and a half if you count vyera)
They, or their families, enrolled knowing full-well that they might not receive our medication (placebo), or that even if they did receive it -- it might not work for them.
They are all quite sick, with many suffering terribly while they wait to die. And their families and friends are similarly suffering -- and their lives will be changed forever.
The notion that Dr.NP is theatrically delaying the process of halting the trial so that he can enjoy some element of surprise and burn the shorts is simultaneously repugnant and ludicrous.
If this trial is capable of being halted -- it will be halted at the earliest possible moment and the placebo arm patients will receive leronlimab. Hopefully, it will save the lives of those who are not too far gone, and maybe avoid permanent organ damage that might make their lives not worth living.
I don't mean to sound high-and-mighty, but let's not forget that lives are hanging in the balance here.
