The progress with the Philippines is great, but I’m not sure I agree with other investors who think that approval by the Philippines will lead to quicker approval by the FDA. I just don’t follow the logic. I’m uneducated on the Phllippinian equivalent of the FDA, but based on the country’s government, I doubt its an internationally respected institution and one that other countries look to for drug approval guidance, etc.
But in the end, if CYDY can get approval and sell a couple hundred million dollars worth of doses to the Philippians, then It doesn’t matter either way. CYDY needs any cash it can get a hold of to fund trials and BLAs.
The news of approval by the Philippines would likely make international news, but how quickly could approval come? India approved a drug and that made international news; but the U.S. didn’t follow their lead.
