Jimi Hendrix left the US for the UK because he wasn't received in the States.
He was once invited to play with THE Cream alongside Eric Clapton. In the middle of the show, Clapton walked off stage. He was found in the back shaking angrily and smoking a cigarette. When asked what was wrong, he simply replied, "You never told me he was that +@*(#&! good." It was once said by a GREAT Man, "A man is without honor only in his own country." The Philippines was a brilliant move. Whatever it takes to get the name out there so BP can one day say, "You never told me LL was that good!" Then we get to bring it home to sold out shows. You can't keep a good thing down forever.
