Yeah, ELI asking for EUA (and Regeneron). The fact that leronlimab is better than their mab will be buried. There are lots of ways to win at this game especially for those who have advantageous influence in making the rules as the game is being played. No doubt in my mind that having leronlimab out the gates first would have seriously hurt others' mab efforts w.r.t. CV19.
The 'glass half full' view is that any EUAs for other mabs should pave the way for leronlimab, unless they change the rules again; i.e., a rule that shuts the door behind the other mabs leaving leronlimab out in the cold.
I am on the edge of my seat hoping for block buster results, and yet still fear that this won't be good enough.
