Beautifully said viridi. (The less articulate folks like me would also be wanting to hear why the heck we were doing it in the first place. Better be a darn good reason- especially since also risking the lives of our parents, children, loved ones and anyone we happened to be on a plane with.) You would definitely be my choice for a leader if i got drafted into this analogy.
Does sadly appear that public health might just be in a fight for its life. Seeing it at the local and state levels as well as federal level. "Don't be afraid of covid." That is not comforting or motivational in any way to lots of us- but that seems to be what we've got to deal with.
I have hope that there is still enough science, truth and reason - as well as a healthy dose of fear- that will eventually result in a regeneration of public health -- and leronlimab for all of us Pvt 1st class folks.
