Big pharma has often gone out to premarket their drug to doctors by creating a sales force dedicated to disease state awareness. So for metabolic disorder, for instance, Sanofi-Aventis was out talking about the disease state because they thought they’d have their cannibinoid receptor blocker (I think it was a blocker) ready to sell in months. Fast forward years and it finally came out via a different company. But that’s the best you can do, really. We’d have to pay people to talk mabs and Covid, focusing heavily on Rantes and cytokine storms. We don’t have that kind of firepower at our disposal.
