Disagree. COVID isn't going anywhere. The very name "Longhaulers" describes people with serious ailments that aren't going away, maybe ever without treatment. They need therapy. LL could be huge in that market.
Something to ponder: The longhaulers as a group will take alot of time to "hammer out the details".such as dosing mg, frequency, duration. I don't think anybody knows whether it will be once a week or month for several months. And there is still some talk about 350mg dose(I think in the context of the UK) Then figure what happens to the price that patients and insurances will be charged or able to pay...still $1000 per injection(pair) × 12 or 24 etc.? Then take into account that Dr's have been prescribing dexamethasone (at around $10/dose) forever. So doc's don't have much of a learning curve with that and familiarity is universal. So when someone asks them, "what about Leronlimab, doc?" He/She replies, "I haven't heard much about it, except that it's expensive". That's at least the reality of where we are now. Can or will that change? I think probably it will, but it make take quite a while. It would be altogether different if LL was $15/vial and twice as effective as dexamethasone, but I can't see that happening. So are longhaulers a waste of time? Depends upon which school of thought you subscribe to. IMO
