No, from what I recall he specifically avoided answering the question regarding receipt of an invite or letter from OWS. He then went on to stating he that they don't discuss day to day business matters and proceeded to adamantly deny any rejection or denial.
So in the end seems unclear, but I heir on the side of us receiving a letter. What the contents of the letter were I do not know. Was it an invite? Or was it simply OWS sending out letters explaining the benefits of applying and a how to. The one thing that's been made clear from beginning of covid was not applying for funding and thought it was best to spend their time completing trials and let the gov come to them when we've got results.
