Yes, I understand, but I still think that's pretty far afield. I think they probably checked SFT's ability to pay their fees, and the possibility of winning the case.
I don't think that other stuff is anything they'd be involved with, it had nothing to do with the case, which was very narrowly defined about application of patents.
Even if SFT was under indictment for some other issue, I don't see how that would have impacted the case. Why would R & G care about NDAs or any of that stuff, really?
