I think the comp is too much and should be voted down, but everyone gets to have their own opinion and we don't need to sway it.
I don't have an issue with him selling some shares, that's his prerogative. Most of us have taken some profit at this point.
With that said, I don't think now is the right time to ask for more shares, and the amount is too much.
My only concern is running out of shares to allocate to new hires. Does anyone know if this request is denied by investors if they can come back with a more reasonable request? Or do they have to wait a year?
