If they cover all CCR5 receptors it wouldn't be a functional cure it would be a complete cure equivalent to the Berlin patient. The bone marrow transplant from another donor causes the new CCR5 containing cells to see the old cells as foreign and kills them off. That includes killing off the reservoir cells where HIV hides. With leronlimab blocking off the new CCR5 containing cells the HIV virus can't invade the new cells and they die off unable to replicate.
