"...the hand we've been dealt" and "not going to bash management for it" reminds me of the saying "Only dead fish go with the flow."
More experienced management may very well have been able to be more efficient here. Sure, we can just sit back and "Let go, let God" or we can be proactive, and by "we" I mean the investors who approve or disapprove increases in remuneration to management. This is America, and the awesome thing here, is that we CAN let our voices be heard. You/we OWN this company and we do have a voice. If you love the job NP is currently doing, and you don't mind all of the dates and promises he has whiffed on, that's fine. Sometimes you have to know when your captain isn't up to piloting the ship any further.
Some people are Detroit Tiger fans, some are NY Yankee fans and it doesn't make one more right than the other. Again, that's what's great about America. What ISN'T so great? The need to be "in" with the right people in the FDA when your management is out in the cold. Way out.
