Because to not say anything till S/C results were out would have been too long. And I think they needed the week to coordinate with all the participants schedules.
Probably provided the update in this format vs. Proactive video because NP said some things about last week's meetings that had set expectations way too high.
My gut tells me he went into the meeting with great expectations, but was embarrassed when both agencies knocked them down. Once his rose colored glasses got broken, it became obvious to him why his expectations were overly ambitious. I had this same experience after listening to NP and Dr. Dody (sp?) explained why both the EFF-DA and MHRA 'recommended' not pursing EUA for m2m at this time.
And as I posted yesterday, saying they never asked for EUA, but rather asked for an opinion about the chances of getting one if asked, is a way to change the narrative and make it appear that the Company was not rebuked outright for the benefit of those not following events surrounding this Company closely.
