Harrison will lead organization effort to close the minority healthcare gap

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Sept. 17, 2020 - PRLog -- The board of the National Minority Health Association announced that Burgess Harrison has been named as Executive Director and elected to the board of directors of 501c3, not for profit organization focused on eliminating the healthcare disparity gap experienced by minorities.
Harrison brings 30 years of business, marketing, public relations, healthcare tech, telehealth, and education experience to the role. In addition, Harrison is on the board of Tradehome Shoe, a 100+ store retail shoe chain, as well as served on the board of the South Central Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross and director for SARAH Foundation. He succeeds Leroy Robinson, deceased, who led the organization since inception. Also, serving on the board, Harrison will join Harold Young, Esq, Col. James Williams (Ret), Dr. Eric Rtter, and Dr. Robert Scott and David Cole. Harrison's hiring comes as the association implements a plan of strategic plan, building on its success in seeing the establishment of Offices of Minority Health in all 50 states.
