In a trial run by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Lilly’s rheumatoid arthritis drug combined with Gilead’s antiviral helped patients recover faster than remdesivir alone by about one day. With that data, the company plans to pursue an emergency use authorization from the FDA...
On the one hand, I figure they must be working hard to work these big long trials to find the best possible medicines out there. A little hard to root for Gilead at this point, but gosh, with the Nat'l Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases running the trial it must be top-notch work and everything by the book, and...wait a minute...isn't that the "Institute" run by a certain Dr. Anthony Fauci?? Who pushed Remdesivir thru in 2 days with an altered endpoint? Same guy with 8 (originally 9) Gilead employees/consultants on his 21-member Advisory Board for COVID-related matters?? Can't be the same guy! Somebody help me....
