I think this is why deaths have been down this summer and why darker skinned folks living in North America and Europe are more susceptible:

My mom had very seasonal health usually strong and active in summer but bedridden with back pain and bladder infections around Christmas every year. After plotting the ratings in her pain journals over a few years to a seasonal sinusoid, I thought it All had to be vitamin D related...
