More than just detecting non-ferrous metals, you want to be able to differentiate between metals. Knowing there is a metal that is not iron is good but knowing if it is a beer can or a gold coin is much more valuable.
The SeaSearcher has a 'metal interrogator' that can tell the difference between metals and thus indicate if a target is gold or silver or aluminum.
