I'd like to throw a few thoughts out myself based on how things seem to be unfolding.
On the acquisition, like many here i'm leaning toward it having something to do with telehealth for two obvious reasons. 1- Rory said he had been "keen" on the sector. We know he has been keen on the pharmaceutical and medical sectors, espescially due to the data collection capabilities and announced clinical trials with the software. 2- It plays directly into the hottest market trend of live streaming, which Verb happens to have and will be known as "the gorilla in the room" in a couple of years imo. After watching the MC video with OnDoc, it covers both bases and would introduce verbLIVE to the medical/health industry. I have my fingers crossed it's a least in this sector.
Having said that, he has also been keen on the "QVC/Shark Tank" idea that I think redspeed coined as NTV. I've had a little fun with that one and is still in keeping with the theme of our new live streaming "gorilla".
VerbGO is still cooking, but it has been on the back burner for several reasons. I was informed a while back that they were working to get the desktop and mobile versions to sync with one another and more recently that they are still adding features to the live app. My point is that this has got to be one of the most complicated software products to have ever been integrated into Salesforce and Microsoft's platforms. "Maybe redspeed can share his thoughts on this as well" The video with the Rubik's Cube explains a lot to me. The market is big for verbGO, but still not as big as the gorilla's.
Therefor, the internal campaign with Salesforce is entirely appropriate to get our gorilla in first gear while everything else is being completed and integrated. I expect more of the same with Microsoft thru Oracle and Adobe before we see a really major campaign. I wouldn't want these big clouds getting worldwide requests for a product that isn't integrated into their platform. By this time I don't see funds for a big marketing campaign to be a problem, at all.
If you think about how the team has put the apps together for enterprise clients and how they will benefit virtually every business, the rollout is the very last step before major quarterly SaaS revenue spikes.
VerbLIVE is "difinitively" the right app at the right time. If you look at just the eCommerce side of it, it's addressing a very big pie.
