First some basics
What is the difference between a webinar (sometimes called Live Broadcast) and a Web conference?
"Web conferencing normally involves a smaller group of the participants. But the webinars are less collaborative, but they involve a large group/audience. ... The major difference between these two types is that the webinars do not involve a two-way communication that is the goal of the web conferencing"
Hold that last thought about the major differences
If you are not in sales or marketing, your exposure to each might be as a customer, but not understanding the sales side of the business nor the tools.
If you never bought or sold anything Live online, you likely wouldn't know much about the solutions out there like Facebook Live for small businesses
Take a look at Facebook Live
It's so simple to see for yourself
Go to Facebook
From a PC, on the top menu, click on the TV/Monitor looking icon top center that has an arrow in it
In the search field on the left under Watch, type in something like clothes or clothing. That's not the only thing people sell live on Facebook, but it's your first example and easy to find as many people are selling clothes 24 hours a day
Toggle Live to On under the filters on the left
Click on one of the videos that say Live in red
You don't have to watch selling clothes but it's easy to find people. If you type in English Toffee as an example, there is no one selling that Live online
I've watched Antique Stores, Outdoor Gear Stores, etc as a few examples on Facebook Live
On Facebook Live, usually the presenter will put a number on everything. If there is only one item and not more in stock, the first person that post the number in the group chat and says they want it like "Mine #5" gets it.
Imagine you sold a 100 things and now you have to dig through all of that, get their payment, shipping, blah, blah, blah. What a nightmare.
It would be as crazy as Direct Sales associates manually sending out Samples spending a 1/2 our of their time or more to save a buck.
What do you get when you combined the best of Zoom and Shopify and add Interactivity to it?
A online Live eCommerce tool that blows the doors off of Facebook Live in my view
eCommerce anything these days is big as you probably know
And now you've seen it, so can decide for yourselves
Another advantage besides the friction-less selling
If you connect with your customers with VERB Live, they are not going to be tempted or distracted with wandering over to view 100's of 1000's of other live feeds of sellers.
Some questions you might be wondering...
Can You See Who Watched Your Facebook Live Video?
During a Facebook Live session you will be notified which of your friends watches your video. You cannot see who else is watching unless they engage with your post.
Only your friends? Whomp, Whomp!
How can you follow up potential leads? Invite them back?
Can I watch someone's Facebook live without them knowing?
Unless you comment, like, share or post it on your timeline, there is no way of knowing you have watched a live video after it has ended. But – if you're Facebook friends with the video publisher, they will see when you join the video in the comment section
There is the "only friends" again
Can they hear me on Facebook Live?
Live videos are real-time video posts on Facebook. Live videos from public figures you follow and your friends will appear in your News Feed. ... Live videos are not interactive, so they will not be able to hear you. However, you can comment on their live videos.
Not only are they not interactive, you don't have the option to hear anyone except the presenter
Facebook Live a one way broadcast. You don't have the option like VERB Live to hear the other people on the broadcast. That would be an important feature to add with smaller webinars.
But wait, there is more. You can't even mute yourself.
What?
You can't even mute yourself.
But what if I need to make a noise? You know...
Don't. You can't mute yourself.
But what if I did?
If you do, say you have a dog
Yup, in Facebook Live once it starts, you can't mute yourself
When you startup a FB session, it is not as fast as VERB. That is true for WebEx. Teams can be a little slow at times. Zoom I always found to be faster to get in. Maybe that is one of their problem.
With FB Live you are given 3 options
1. Use Stream Key
2. Use Camera
3. Used Paired Encoder
For may users, that could be intimidating. Make their head hurt. If by dumb luck, you chose camera, you are probably on your way
With FB Live you are given 3 options if you want to share (besides the camera)
1. Your Entire Screen
2. Application Window
3. Chrome Tab
Guess what? Those are the same 3 options with VERB Live
Seamless selling and provisioning, knowing who you are selling to, being able to mute yourself, allowing others to speak up rather than only being able to chat...
These are just some of the differences
Now that you know how to find Facebook Live check out the other difference
Just don't confuse what Microsoft Teams, Cisco's WebEx, Zoom and other tools do with Live eCommerce Interactive selling with VERB Live. Just because they call use the internet, doesn't mean they all do the same thing.
Remember, Live online selling is even bigger outside of the US
Right product, right time, right place
