Orlando, speaking of roofs, we have been looking at houses in Cape May, NJ, as everyone here already knows. However a lot of the houses are rehabs. They buy a 600-700 sq foot old ranch and add a 2nd floor and rehab it all. But what they do which I think is not right, they tear everything down to the studs, inside and out. So when they add a 2nd floor, they have to add a subfloor for that 2nd level. Well that lowers the ceiling on the first floor down to 7 1/2 foot (from standard 8 foot) and sometimes down to 7 foot. Then they put ceiling fans and my 6’3” height becomes dangerous to my health. I might decapitated lol. I don’t understand why they don’t take the studs off, put new studs and make the ceiling 9 foot high. Raise the price $10-15K and they’ll easily get that. But they are trying to flip them quickly so they don’t do it right. Well will GNBT our ceiling has been rehabbed so many times, I think my ankles are too high lol.
