I’ve come to believe that self-preservation is the over arching human instinct. Lie, cheat, steal, and kill to survive. Sometimes this manifests as greed. Sometimes it manifests as the hairs on the back of your neck standing up when you hear a twig snap in the woods. Sometimes this manifests as a need to be right about the future.
These people have to feel like they are winning, smart, successful, and can predict the future to protect their tribe.
Wouldn’t it be better to invest in really good solutions to solve actual real world problems to help our fellow man?
