Dont get sucked into media. What you might be experiencing is the Gell-Mann (sp?) effect. Michael Criton expounded on it.
You read something in the media you are aware and knowledgeable about. The writer of the piece clearly doesnt understand what they are writing and is clearly uninformed, not an expert, etc. You think what an IDIOT.
Then you go to the next piece you are reading of which you dont have inside industry knowledge and take whatever is written as fact and absolute. Completely forgetting that the last piece you read was crap.
I have been interviewed for a newspaper piece before and was appalled at the quote they used and what info the presented from me. It was clear they either had an agenda or were an idiot. It was almost like i felt we had two different conversations.
ALWAYS remember that. Most journalists are dumb and dont know what they speak of.
