The reason I don’t think it’s plasma is that the FDA just said this past week that they were close to granting EUA for plasma therapy but wanted more data as the benefit is unclear at this point.
Would the FDA turn back on that decision so quickly because of political pressure and grant EUA for plasma therapy?
Or is it possible that the White House’s announcement about a breakthrough in a therapeutic for COVID19 isn’t about an FDA approved drug but instead about a drug that has shown promise? I think this is a real possibility. The announcement scheduled for the night before the RNC is not a coincidence UNLESS it’s leronlimab because there’s no way the submission of the M2M data for EUA was timed for that reason.
