For those who see what is happening with GTGP, here is a letter that you are free to cut, and paste, and send to the local, or big city newspaper editors. The name will be out there soon enough with Ruder Finn probably coming on board, but we can help our cause, and bring our price a little higher for the upcoming launch if we get behind this, and promote it a little.
To whom it may concern:
There is currently underway, an Obama/EPA initiative to reign-in the mercury that is being released into the atmosphere from the nation's cement plants. Obviously at this point, with an election coming up, everything is being politicized in a very large way. The way that it is spoken about, it sounds as if the world will end if these EPA standards are allowed to be enforced, along the lines of thousands of lost jobs, and the destruction of the entire coal industry in America. To be brief, there is a company that very recently posted some test results that were conducted in a laboratory setting using EPA protocols for conducting the tests. The test results show a result using their technology that is 5 times better than the current best available technology which is something called Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC), AND it is less costly to use.
I am not sure where a story like this goes.....Human Interest, Environmental, Business/investment, but I do know that with so much at stake here, and a company that looks like it has solved the problem for the coal industry, and the environmental people, as well as the public at large, then it might make sense to look into following up with the gentleman who runs the company that is making all of this happen. The EPA takes this business very seriously, and if they end up giving their technology a designation called "benchmark", then it is "game over" in my opinion. Coal got saved, jobs got saved, and the public will be healthier because of it.
