So why did people still buy or hold (SFOR) shares...Promises of riches, easy money and greed.
I STRONGLY DISAGREE with your overly simplistic statement for several reasons:
1) First, most investors here were buying and holding SFOR shares based on what SFOR management (specifically CEO Mark Kay) was telling us (big deals, big revenues coming soon, etc.). As an investor, you make decisions (such as buying or holding shares) based on the best information that you have. If the information that you were given is all lies by SFOR management then this is 100% on them, -not on investors for trusting the information that they gave to us. Lying to and deceiving investors should literally mean SEC prosecution and jail time for all of those involved.
2) Quite a few long-term investors here have held SFOR shares for many years, trusting and supporting the company throughout their numerous ups and downs and participating in the success of SFOR channel partners getting contracts. For example, investor 4sleddogs wrote every congressman/woman and helped to get DOD contracts. So, how, exactly, is supporting the company through ups and downs for many years and helping them in their success looking for easy money and greed??? Even if we had won, it wouldn't have been easy money IMO.
3) MOST IMPORTANTLY: You're putting the blame here back on the SFOR investors (blaming the victim), which to me is completely wrongheaded, -it's akin to blaming the rape victim for wearing sexy clothes or being out late at night). It's definitely not our fault that we were screwed over by SFOR, because many of the smartest investors here didn't see this coming.
SO, LET'S BE CLEAR:
1) DON'T MAKE EXCUSES FOR SFOR MANAGEMENT OR THE MODS HERE THAT CONSPIRED WITH THEM.
2) PLACE THE BLAME FOR THIS FIASCO SQUARELY (100%) ON SFOR MANAGEMENT, -NOT ON THE PEOPLE WHO TRUSTED THEM AND INVESTED HERE!!!!
3) YES, THE OTC IS RIPE WITH SCAMS, BUT THAT DEFINITELY DOESN'T MEAN THAT NO ONE SHOULD EVER INVEST IN OR HOLD OTC STOCKS LONG-TERM, -NOR DOES IT EXCUSE SFOR IN THE SLIGHTEST FOR WHAT THEY DID.
