When will the virus fade into the background of the news?
Are you predicting that the Labor Day weekend won't increase the case count, because it's going to go away?
How about the universities and schools that opened and then closed in the last two weeks? Didn't happen? Fake news?
And I guess you don't think the predicted second wave won't occur like it did in 1918, or that the flu season won't increase cases and deaths?
And I guess all those Covid-19 survivors who have long-term symptoms and problems from having had it, don't have to worry because someday there will be treatments and cures for them.
Short-term only? There aren't any answers yet. Everything is being tested, some in clinical trials that could take a year. If the Trump administration fast tracks anything, it is at the cost of safety. That's never been acceptable science. Political, yes, but not science. At what cost?
