We should all look in the mirror, though, to see the roots of our problems. Partnering with Dietl was a big red flag. The CEO paying himself almost half of the yearly revenues is a big red flag. Discovering that, of the 3 original products, only one isn't available open source is a big red flag. The continuous delay in reporting revenues is a big red flag. Losing at Appeals Court was a big red flag. The absence of any money spent on marketing is a big red flag.
In any asymmetrical relationship there are choices. We have chosen to be like the victims of domestic abuse who keep returning to their partners, and have continued to get more of the same treatment. Whose fault is it that we couldn't deal with the obvious?
The hotel idea was dumb and unworkable. BlockSafe has apparently been dropped. Vchat doesn't yet exist. From where do you expect revenues? As I mentioned all too many times in relation to this experience, "too soon old, too late wise" (B. Franklin).
We bet the farm on what appeared to be a good hand, and we lost. You can't go back to the casino later on and complain it was rigged. Game over.
