It was clarified a few minutes ago by some other posters on another board, so I think CTMedic can stand pat:

You have it backwards. He initially said that the increase was 250% (which was wrong), and then corrected it to 150%, which is right.
The confusion comes from "increase" vs the multiplier.
2 -> 5 is an increase of 150% since 5 = 2 * 2.5 (which is the multiplier).
