I am amazed by those who seem to think it would be okay to change the number of subjects required in the severe trial from 195 to the current 180. The whole purpose of statistical POWER is to show that there is a statistically significant difference between some treatment, in this case CYDY's therapeutic, and some other therapeutic or placebo. The statistical POWER comes out of the sample size. A sample size in this trail less than the required (in this case 195) may lead to incorrect conclusions. The primary incorrect conclusion could be reached is that CYDY's therapeutic is less effective than the other when in fact it is more effective. The magic number, 195, is our friend not our enemy. Without the stats, nothing can be know in research with any reasonable level of certainty. We cannot proceed by gut feelings in these matters. These needs to be an objective method. Statistics and the required sample sizes are essential. If the statistical results match what we believe is true about CYDY, the statistical results will force acceptance of CYDY over BP's dominance that is pushing the use of less effective medicines.
