As I said before: "HCQ seemed promising, until it was demonstrated through rigorous trials not be effective. Lots of time and money wasted."
There is not doubt that the haste to find anything that works led to essentially pigs with lipstick.
I also am concerned that so much attention has gone to vaccines with little concern until very recently for therapeutics. One hopes that additional resources remain available for therapeutics.
I truly don't by the conspiracy theories. The big pharmas get most of the attention no doubt. But they also are the majors because they had successfully brought numerous products to the market.
We should be more upset with billions given to vaccine companies that have brought exactly nothing to market and just drift from one crisis pathogen to the next.
We have complete CD10 and making good progress on CD12. I hate the glacial pace as well.
I have going to work every day wearing gloves, gown, N95 and face shields. I hate worrying that my efforts saving the life of another risks my life. I have been in EMS for 32 years and never worried about dying doing this job.
Yes, the FDA has a lot of power. Hopefully enough that the eventual vaccines are safe and that Leronlimab, once proven effective, will be brought by the FDA to its rightful place on center stage .
