In a trial, whatever delivery method is used for trial medication is also used for a the placebo administration. So all patients get a SQ shot.
Patients will continue to receive the instutions standard of care by whatever method that is delivered.
Study patients who have had remarkable, and assume they received Leronlimab, have reported the SQ injection burning more than would have been expected from saline. Other than that, no one knows who received drug vs placebo until results unblinded.
