I wasnt aware about the comment that he thought he'd be bought out within 5 years. But as someone who has been in business for some time, and Acquired a couple of small companies, it's really very complex. And most of the time it doesn't make sense as the acquisition doesn't create an opportunity for a win win.

I obviously dont know any details of this situation.
