FWIW, I wrote to STAT:
"I've repeatedly seen articles written by your contributor Adam Feuerstein which repeatedly distort information, making it obvious his goal is market manipulation.
We're in the midst of a pandemic and numerous times he has distorted facts about several companies, most notably Cytodyn and it's very promising COVID drug Leronlimab. The data from an FDA trial is coming in 10 days and thus far all of the anecdotal data has been phenomenal.
However, your writer, under the credibility of your publication, is outright lying and that is exacerbating a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. When doctors research new therapies and medicines, they may ignore Leronlimab because Feuerstein distorts the truth about it. In reality, Leronlimab may just prove to be the best therapy for COVID in the world. If that becomes true (and we'll know in weeks) then Feuerstein and your publication will literally be costing lives. Doctors who might have used the drug and saved people, may use something less effective and lose that patient.
In cruder terms, YOU may be complicit in COVID deaths.
Watching how Feuerstein operates, in your name, has been eye-opening. I'm stunned the SEC doesn't get involved but I do know there are powerful people at work to change that.
If you want STAT to sustain its credibility, I suggest you rein in Feuerstein or dismiss him and part ways... quickly."
