USAF "Hose and Drogue" Method AAR Requirement.

[just posted on iHub to debunk nonsense from basher / suspect Omega shill]
As has been stated repeatedly in my authoritative briefs, 30% of the longer term USAF AMC / TRANSCOM contract opportunity now under study at the direction of Sec AF is for refueling by the "hose-and-drogue" method - the method the Tristar is currently set up for - contract opportunity TRANSCOM18R013 refers.
The bulk of US DoD "hose-and-drogue" AAR of USN, USMC, special operations and relevant allied assets is not done by either the USN or Omega.
For instance, some KC-135Rs of 100 ARW at RAF Mildenhall, UK have a "hose and drogue" underwing pod capability - not just the "flying boom" adaptor which does not permit role change once airborne.

USAF 100 ARW KC-135R AAR of a French AF Rafale using "hose and drogue" adaptor on a "flying boom" - very inferior to the Hose & Drum Unit (HDU) of a Tristar or KC-10:

Also, all USAF KC-10s - being retired first due to the high maintenance costs - are also dual method.
