The NIST program (National Institute of Standards and Technology) is a welcome program much needed in the cannabis industry. The fact is, there is a lot of garbage out there completely mislabeled. In some cases, no trace of CBD or THC can be found in the product even though the label clearly states that there is. The problem is that people learn to mistrust cannabis products because it does not produce the effect they expect. While some products are devoid of key ingredients, others contain far less than is advertised. Both issues are common. Still other products contain as much as 20% more CBD or THC than the label states. A product that contains more of a key ingredient is not nearly as big a problem (if a problem at all), but a product taken for medicinal purposes may require a tighter control.
Once again, thank you.
