1. Very impressed with Purcell. I liked his technical responses. I was particularly interested in his comments on the covid targeting endothelial lining. Might give insight into Joes Facebook post regarding the discovery of clotting in multiple organs in covid post mortems. Since nitric oxide is generated to a great extent there, this is an area of investigation for both therapy and prevention. I was hoping for more insight on this.
2. Joe seems a likable guy, someone that would’ve fun to play a round of golf with or have a beer. very knowledgeable judging from Facebook postings and rebuttals to adversarial positions. This knowledge does not necessarily translate well all the time- especially as seen in conference call. If I were going to pitch to BARDA, Purcell would be my choice. Joe was not as prepared as he should have. He should have anticipated/known any and all of questions being presented. All he has to do is follow this thread to know that. Having said that. He should have been ahead of the CEPI and SEC matters. First thing Monday post Cc , it should have been all hands on deck, addressing SEC and by Friday notifying stockholders. “Yeah we may have overlooked/misunderstood/f’d up on these 3 sec letters but that has been resolved. We anticipate sec response by(date). Our next objective is S1 (or whatever)by (date). Joe needs to focus, perform, and inform. People on this thread have many questions that should be answered. I for one will be happy when we hear from BARDA one way or another so that information can flow freely unhindered by “quiet time”.
