".....FAITH is not believing in what you see but it is in what you don't see....."
I know exactly whst you are talking about, and that is exactly what I did, I had faith that they would execute on the plan they had created.
Hey, I am a project manager, and I have to give updates for those projects that I am running every second week. And, of course, not always everything runs smoothly or according to plan, but if not, I'd better have a good reason for any delay that has occurred, during these presentations.
The company heads have faith in me to do everything in my power to make maximum progress for my projects, and that I stick to the plan and schedule that I have created at the beginning of the project, and if something unexpected comes up, I have to raise my hand and let people know.
As a part owner (shareholder) of the company, I am simply expecting just the same thing, I have faith that they do the best they can to realize the plan that they have presented to us, and if something unforeseen comes up, they should let me know about it. So every time we do get updates from them, all I hear is delay, delay and delay, either directly, or implicitly and I hope that things are going to go better from now on. But with the next update, it turns out that it just again had not worked out according to plan and it just had taken longer again. And they present it, as if this never was mentioned any differently. Do they really think that we are stupid enough not to recognize that. I want answers and reasons why. And then telling me, if you don't like, feel free to sell your shares and move on, is just too simple for me. They owe me, and all other shareholders, and should be held accountable for their actions and lack there of.
I have learned to be patient, trust me, and as my professor always told me, being a PhD student is always a training in frustration tolerance, so I have such a three year training experience as well (yes, I do have a PhD in physics ☺️), but looking back at the initial plan and schedule and where we are at, in comparison to that, I guess, if that would have been my project, I would be in big trouble explaining such delays.
Remember, initially it was told to us that it should be possible to have a vaccine ready for the masses in fall, then it was late this year, right now they publicly state that they may start the clinical evaluation at the end of summer, while other are reporting phase I clinical trial results, NOW!
And it is always somebody else's fault. The falling share price ==> bad actors Hmmm, maybe if they would have made waterproof contracts, these bad actors wouldn't have had a chance to do what they promised not to do?
Now it is the the BARDA, which has them waiting, not providing the funds that they so desperately need to make faster progress. As mentioned in my last post already, if GNBT's technology is so superior, then it seems that that the BARDA folks simply don't get it yet, and obviously they are not able to properly explain it to them and convince them that they and the general public can't go on without it. But it is not just BARDA, it is CEPI, it's Canada Health and the Malaysia health organization that they at least have applied for funding from and neither they were convinced that li-key is what everybody needs. It is like someone driving on an interstate, hearing on the radio that someone is driving on the wrong side of the road, and he replies "well, here is not just one, here are 100s of them".
So having faith and believing in a positive outcome is surely important, and I do not doubt that Joe and his team are trying their best, but I am starting to have serious doubts whether their best is really good enough to bring this to work and make it a success. Where is that world class team of experts that Joe has gathered around himself?
OK, another rant over. LOL (it actually is a laughter of desperation, unfortunately)
