Maybe similar emails to Dr. Oskoui? Anyway, here is what I wrote:
Dr. Siegel –
I saw your segment on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Monday, July 20. The news about T-Cells and their ability to extend the immune response was well presented. I too believe this is the long term key to immunity from the virus.
I wish I could take credit for that insight, however I’ve followed Generex Biotech (GNBT) for a number of years and Dr. Eric von Hofe has been saying that since I can remember – certainly as far back as SARS and the Swine Flu in the 2008 – 2009 time frame. GNBT is currently developing a synthetic vaccine that features both the peptides that elicit the antibody response, and the T-Cells (CD4) that is supposed to bolster the response for a longer timeframe. Most of the folks that follow GNBT are very excited about this pursuit, although the company is small and not currently well known. They have applied for a BARDA grant to continue development, because like all small companies, funding is their biggest restriction.
I don’t know how GNBT’s process compares with the Oxford vaccine process, only that GNBT’s will be synthetic and will not require cells from a living animal to produce. Dr. EvH has suggested that once the vaccine is developed, manufacture will be large scale and very fast, which separates it from other cell based vaccines.
If you are interested in what GNBT has done in the past and is currently working on, I’m sure Dr. von Hofe or their CEO, Joe Moscato, would be pleased to talk to you in medical terms that mean something! As a railroad guy, I don’t understand all the science exactly, but I do understand the general concepts, which you and Dr. Oskoui (on Laura Ingraham’s show last week) have reinforced. I certainly do appreciate your explanations of the T-Cell issue, and it reinforces what the CEO and Dr. EvH have been saying for years.
Also wanted to congratulate you on other segments you have done on various shows – you seem to bring a rational approach to the CV19 issue that others are not willing to address. Thank you for all your hard work and the education you have brought your viewers.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXX
