Have you guys looked into BP's background in HIV/AIDS or how the CCR-5 receptor discovery was accomplished in the 90's and the subsequent elaboration of the delta-32 mutation which was traced back to the mid-1300's during the black death. The geographic gene prevalence may shed light on the possible genomic reasons for the widely varying case mortality rates worldwide.
