Rules are Rules yes... I don’t buy that. Rules are just guidelines and exceptions to the rules happen all the time. You have to assess the situation before you apply the rules. The situation in this case is a world pandemic. To me... the optimist. The rules are out the window and all resources are on solving the problem. So... for the greater good of this pandemic I will not believe that they stopped reviewing the safety of our application to be able to use it for Covid safety efficacy. You can play by the rules sometimes and be burnt by the rules others. If the FDA sticks to the rules and slows down what could be a life saving drug in Leronlimab. Then my optimism of this world we live in is really hurting. We will see what happens in the future but I believe you choose to follow the rules when you need to. Not when there is a situation that is unforeseen and is out side of the normal. In many many ways are looking at a “new normal” since this pandemic started. I haven’t lost my faith in people doing the right thing. Just because there is a rule they could follow. A good leader of the review group For the BLA will know this or he/she isn’t a true leader at all. Its one thing we have lacked throughout this pandemic is good leadership on every level. My hope is a smart caring FDA that wants to help us all.
