I'll guess that it's them being a small company and the competition is multibillion. If the medical device industry is built around PCR and large labs it will take some major force to take notice. You spend too much thought on how it's logical that a better mousetrap will automatically be noticed and adopted when established mouse extermination companies make money off the status quo.
