Quote:During the June 11 CC, Dr.NP stated that 69 patients were enrolled as of that day. That was also the day that Dr.NP stated that the inclusion criteria of the trial had been relaxed to include intubated patients (at the request of Dr. Otto Yang – UCLA and Dr. Seethamraju – Montefiore).
Anybody else have the answer: how many patients at 30 days will be in the safety review? Or maybe it’s all patients regardless of time in the trial?
If the 69th patient was actually injected on June 11 (which is unknown), that person would have finished their 28 day trial on July 9.
For the sake of simplicity, let's say that the DSMB does their review next week on Thursday July 23. That's exactly 2 weeks later than July 9.
And that means the last patient in that sample would have needed to have been injected on June 25. That's exactly 2 weeks later than June 11
So the question becomes, how many more patients did they enroll in the two weeks between June 11 and June 25 -- factoring in, of course, the relaxed inclusion criteria.
If I had to guess, I'd say maybe 10 patients -- but who knows?
However, if my guess is correct, we might be looking at 79 patients.
