I am long cydy and have no intention of selling. I hope the company stays independent and grows into the colossus it has the potential to become. That said I have traded stocks for 30 years; not a day trader, but a medium term swing trader who watches the charts and makes moves accordingly. In the beginning I would feel really smart if the stock moved up after my purchase. And really stupid if the trade went against me initially or later after a run-up where I hadn't taken profits near the top. After a while I learned to have a better perspective on those feelings; stocks move for many reasons and one can't foresee all of them.
It seems to me analogous and also disingenuous to say that NP is a crummy CEO when the stock is at $3.50 but he's okay at $8. We all know that a lot of the movements lately are due to machinations of short sellers. There are also probably games being played by market makers and BP companies and hedge funds acquiring hefty positions. To blame all the movements on NP when there are factors out of his control is unfair and childish imho. If one believes in the science, just sit tight and be patient. The science will determine the stock price down the road.
