I opt for a simpler hypothesis. Trump's election was a black swan event now being undone by a much bigger, fatter, black swan event.
The notion that such an uncurious, untutored, insecure, willfully ignorant, science illiterate oaf with no impulse control could be at the heart of a decades long conspiracy is laughable on its face.
That he was Putin's preferred candidate....still nary an unkind or harsh word directed by Trump toward the KGB autocrat......and that he received and accepted help from the Russians in the election, is bad enough.
