Lots of people accuse NP of setting events happening on a timeline when in fact, he's speculating about when things will happen (like all of us investors) based on his expectation of when OTHERS' complete their actions. We give him the benefit of the doubt because we expect that as the ultimate insider, the information he has is the most current and accurate. Any timeline that requires OTHERS' participation has a chance to be delayed (or quickened <-- rare occurrence). This is probably why most companies provide guidance of material events with vague timelines and then issue an update/PR when the event actually materializes.
